Aesthetic Username Generator
Pick an aesthetic — cottagecore, dark academia, y2k, fairycore, kawaii, grunge, vaporwave, celestial, soft girl, cyberpunk — and get six on-vibe usernames at a time.
What is an aesthetic username?
An aesthetic username is a handle picked not just for how it sounds but for how it feels. The same person could be jane_42 on a banking app and mossy_willow on a side blog — both are valid, but the second one carries a vibe. Aesthetics like cottagecore, dark academia, y2k, and cyberpunk are visual and emotional moodboards that show up in fashion, music, and online life; their core idea is that a tiny set of words, colors, and motifs can do all the work of a self-introduction. This generator pulls from word banks built around each aesthetic — mosses and hearths for cottagecore, ravens and sonnets for dark academia, glitter and bytes for y2k — and combines them with separators (_, ., -, or none) into six username candidates per click. The page itself adapts: switching aesthetic swaps the accent color, the card tint, and even the font of the username preview, so you get an instant feel for whether the vibe lands. Re-roll as many times as you want — the lists are large enough that you will rarely see the same combination twice.
How to use it
Click an aesthetic chip and the page palette and font swap to match. Pick which separators you want in the mix (you can leave them all on, or restrict to underscores only, etc.), choose whether to add numbers at the end, and whether to keep everything lowercase. Hit Generate 6 to get six fresh candidates. Click the copy button on any card to send the username straight to your clipboard. Re-roll as many times as you want.
How the names are generated
Each aesthetic has two word banks of about 30 thematic atoms each — a prefix bank and a suffix bank. We pick one word from each, choose a random separator from your enabled list (_, ., -, or none — sometimes a double __ for that early-2000s look), and optionally append a 1-99 number. Six candidates are generated per click, deduplicated, and cased to lowercase if you've kept that toggle on. Word banks are tuned per aesthetic — for example, cottagecore leans on natural-world nouns (moss, willow, honey, bramble) while cyberpunk leans on technical and dark-modern verbs and nouns (glitch, daemon, runner, byte).
